How the game works

A look into the card world

Example card card1 from Misjudged

Misjudged works with image cards that let every player create their own question. This leads to conversations that start playfully and often become surprisingly deep.

The card with the woman shows two possible scenes: a woman running late for a train and a woman sitting on the platform on time. You probably already know how you would turn that into a question.

A scene like this, and therefore your personal question, becomes the starting point for the other players' decision. That is exactly what turns an image into a real conversation trigger.

Each round lives from the fact that players phrase their question in the way that fits them and their group best. That makes every interpretation more personal and every round different.

Not every interpretation is literal

Interpretations can be abstract

Misjudged thrives on the fact that images can be understood in very different ways. A card does not need to show a person directly in order to say something accurate about someone.

The card with the cat and the work desk shows exactly that: interpretations are often abstract, creative, and surprisingly precise. That is exactly why it creates conversations that many other games never reach.

For example, the card could be read as the question: “Do I feel better in creative chaos, or when everything is sorted exactly and neatly?” Or: “Am I more productive when I allow myself creative chaos, or only when everything is in its place?”

Every player can phrase that question in the way that fits their own personality and their own group best.
